Also called "crossover irons", driving irons are a great way to get the workability and control of an iron with the ball speed and forgiveness of a hybrid. Faster ball speeds and higher launch angles are the product of the DRX super hard maraged face. A toe weight helps to balance the hitting surface at impact providing distance and forgiveness even on miss hits.

Shaft Options

The HDX 80 is a capable shaft for the Pursuit driving irons. Manufactured by UST specifically for us, the HDX has a bend profile and playing characteristics that are similar to the stock shafts in drivers and fairway woods marketed by the larger club manufacturers. In fact, UST makes shafts for many of the industry’s most popular brands. The HDX fits the swings of a wide variety of golfers. It’s stiff tip offers control while the mid bend-point make it easy to generate the correct launch angle necessary to maximize distance and accuracy.

Recommended: Add hybrid headcovers to your order. Like hybrids, driving irons are susceptible to dings because they sit at iron level in the golf bag. Our headcovers are inexpensive and will protect the clubhead for years and years.

I ordered the DRX 2 Iron. Got it with the UST Mamiya Pro Force V2 Hybrid shaft in stiff flex. All i can say is WOW. Played only one round with this club. Used it off the Tee Box about 7 times , 240 yard rockets right down the middle. Hit it off the fairway 3 or 4 times. Ball takes off like a rocket. No longer carry any fairway woods.

I am a 10 handicap and have been looking for a club like this for a long time. I had a big distance gap in my game: after my driver it was a 4 hybrid. I was looking at 3 woods and 5 woods, but it just didn't seem like the best fit for the courses I play. I needed a club that could stay low if I was playing in the wind, but also be reliable to hit fairways on short, and narrow par 4s. Well the search is now over! The 2 driving iron is it guys! I went to the sim and I am getting 240-250 yrds out of this club. This is incredible value. With duty/taxes, shipping, an upgraded shaft(UST Mamiya - Recoil). With the Canadian dollar conversion it came out to $152 CAD. This is equivalent to the Titliest U-500 driving iron and this is less than half the price! Plus I have a better shaft. Thank you Gigagolf for over delivering!

Ordered the 3 & 4 DRX 2021 to replace my Hybrids & Long irons. I'm very pleased I did. It now gives me a lot more options at the top end of my bag. I had them fitted with the 'Feather Flight steel shafts', to match the shafts in my C510 irons. These driving irons have exceeded my expectations. Very easy to hit off the tee and fairways, with exceptional distance. I highly recommend gigagolf service and their products.

Ordered the 3 driving drx iron fit to me. With the mmamiya proforce r flex hybrid shaft. Wow light years ahead of my old 3 iron . always pushed right with the old one. Regardless of changes which was a real pain on my two primary courses. Both very park like and easy to end up playing from under mature hardwoods.. Well that has changed hit a real stinker of a drive last round and ended up 155 out from the pin with a shot between a tree trunk blocking my view ofthe green and a bush to the right had a 3 foot wide by 6 foot high wi dow ?pulled the drx 3 ... Holy heck. Never have hit it from the rough or fairway I was stunned at the response took off like a direct fire artillery round. And tossed in a draw that rolled onto the green. Couldn't see it happen. And spent 5 minutes looking to my ball in expected area. Guy behind me had a good laugh when he pointed to the green. After that wonder shot I started dropping a second ball in a trouble spot randomly the rest of the round. Buy these clubs I'm dropping a wood to add the 2 iron

First off, Don't let anyone tell you these clubs are only for harder hitters / fast swings. My 5i only carries 150 to 155y so my swing isn't what one might term "fast". Average speed at best. I received the 2i a week ago, no problem getting it airborne off the tee. None. It's a terrific fairway finder, just swing easy and I'm getting 15 to 20y short of my driver but in the fairway 90% of the time. If this helps, my driver (gigagolf 420 , 12*) will rollout 210y on average. This 2i will get 190 plus for me with an easy swing. Note, I tee off at 7am in deep east Texas. Thick, humid air. Dew on the grass so limited roll. On the range the afternoon I received the 2i I was carrying 180, rolling out beyond the 210 mark. Big thank you to Allen at gigagolf, he talked me out of buying the 4i and convinced me to get the 2i knowing what I wanted it for (off the tee). If I had a dollar for every player that told me driving and utility irons are for fast swingers I'd be able to buy any golf course in America. They're wrong, plain and simple. If you live in Texas, Oklahoma or any windy area this is a must have. The area of Texas I live isn't as windy as 80% of the state but the course I play is EXTREMELY tight. Most fairways have water on one side, thick woods on the other. The 2i is a must on at least five tee boxes. Swing easy. Don't try to muscle the club and it flies. Off the deck.... work in progress, but choking way way down produces nice results. On the tee, just swing easy and watch it fly (and roll forever)

I received this club Saturday 2/4/2023 in great condition. Took it to the course Sunday and after some tweaks with my club head speed was launching cruse missiles down the fairway! After darn near taking out some Canadian geese I started getting some height and wow. Hitting farter than my Callaway Epic Max driver. With a lower ball flight and less spin I can hit into the wind and get some roll on our soft wet winter conditions here. The Pursuit 2 iron with the Project X 5.5 meets and exceeds all expectations. Ordered the 3 & 4 DRX 2021 to replace my long irons. Great off the tee and also perform great off the deck. Had them fitted with PX 6.0 Shafts which are very stable. The only negative is that they feel slightly light in the head, doesnt affect performance though, still rocket off the face!! Worth a try, hard to beat at this price!!

I ordered DRX 2 and 3 driving irons to replace 3/5 fairwaywoods in my bag, which were slowly becoming less reliable (because of age;70+ now!and resulting swing speed ), particularly re direction control! Had them fitted with with the standard graphite shaft but chose A flex , because kick point (low) and weight specs were closest to those of my callaway diablo edge hybrids (which I hit well). After some practice sessions to find the right ball position I am now really ,really pleased with the performance: low trajectories, straight to draw, with exactly the distance I wanted from the tee. also perform well from the fairway g,gripping them a little shorter.Even from light rough I can hit them , but then the resulting flight is a low fade. NOT clubs to try and hit the baal high and stop, but great for long ,low distance making. All in all, happy customer!!

Ordered the DRX 3i with the stock UST HDX 80 shaft as well as a putter and TRX 5i. While it took nearly a month from the date I ordered until I recieved my clubs they were woth the wait. The delay was extremely inconvenient and something to do with a truck missing its delivery date several times over. Understandable during these times, however it would have been nice had they informed me instead of me having to contact them after 2 weeks to find out what was going on. Then the midsize grip i ordered was out of stock so that delayed it even more. I eventually had them put a standard on just to get it here. That was the downside, now that I finally have the club in my hands I absolutely love it. I bought a utility iron from a competitor component company and hit it maybe a dozen times and the head snapped at the hosel, had it replaced and the 2nd one did the exact same thing (they were getting way too much epoxy up inside the graphite shaft) but anyway it felt head heavy and harder to swing. The DRX hits AMAZING. It feels light and i was apprehensive at first but after swinging it, it feels extremely stable for the light way. The ball rockets off the face and sends missles down the fairway. On one hole I actually out drove 2 of my playing partners with it while they used the driver. I had a little trouble hitting it from the deck the first 2 or 3 times but got a feel for it and isnt bad from the ground either. Highly recommend. (The putter i bought is also top notch, butter smooth, the 5 iron i was less impressed with but its suitable.)

I got the 4 iron. I've been struggling with driver, 3 wood and 3 hybrid. I picked this up to be a fairway finder. The ball explodes off the face and feels great. Only issue is I normally hit a fade. This thing goes dead straight so I was missing left all day. I'll adjust. If the ball going too straight is the biggest issue then that should tell you all you need to know! I'll be picking up a 3 as well soon.
