Power Slot Concept

Pursuit Golf Technology introduced the slot sole to the titanium driver market. The driving force behind the engineering was the idea that casting a deep groove into the sole would provide a mechanism that acts like a loaded hinge and propels the ball off the face at a greater velocity. At that time, several equipment manufacturers were adding a channel to the crown. Our experience told us that most golfers miss the sweet spot toward the sole of the club. Putting the slot on the sole seemed logical. The idea worked so well that the tc420 exceeds the USGA’s COR limits.

ps550 Hybrids

The exciting thing about the slot sole mechanism is that it does not require a huge force to activate. In other words, the player does not need to possess a 115 mph swing speed to benefit from the design. Golfers of all ability levels will gain yards with smoother easier swings. USGA regulations are met but not exceeded as the slot sole fairway woods and hybrids conform to the USGA’s existing testing methods (but barely).

Internal Weight Pad

Just behind the slot there is an internal weight that balances the head with a low center of gravity. Placing the discretionary weight behind the slot and close to the face is another feature that maximizes ball velocity. The added mass helps to compress the slot creating an explosive rebound that sends the ball farther with less effort than any fairway wood we have manufactured to date.

c455 Face

The c455 face materials is a high grade Carpenter steel product that is unerringly consistent from batch to batch. The Carpenter c455 steel is harder than any other steel used in stainless fairway/hybrid production today. Therefore, it can be forged very thin on the edge. This design characteristic gave us the ability to maximize ball speed off the face and generate more distance from the fairway or tee box. Carpenter 455 is a more expensive face material. But even with the best, most expensive face in the fairway/hybrid market the Pursuit is still much less expensive than nationally advertised, tour play endorsed brands. Pursuit is affordably marketed but built with uncompromising quality.

Good Looks

The Carpenter face is engraved with precise score lines. The triple coat black gloss finish will shine on the course, and red accented indentions make the Pursuit fairway and hybrids look high tech yet understated.

Shaft Options

The HDX 80 is a capable shaft for the Pursuit hybrids. Manufactured by UST specifically for us, the HDX has a bend profile and playing characteristics that are similar to the stock shafts in drivers and fairway woods marketed by the larger club manufacturers. In fact, UST makes shafts for many of the industry’s most popular brands. The HDX fits the swings of a wide variety of golfers. It’s stiff tip offers control while the mid bend-point make it easy to generate the correct launch angle necessary to maximize distance and accuracy.

Recommended: Add hybrid headcovers to your order in step 5. Hybrids are susceptible to paint damage because they sit at iron level in the golf bag. If the painted crown makes contact with the iron heads, the paint will become damaged and chip.

I have had my Pursuit ps550 Hybrids, 3-6. for just under a year. They look and feel great. They have made a tremendous difference in my game. Because I am not good with my long irons, anything over 170 out was a problem. The hybrids have solved that problem. They are consistently straight, even on mishits. Although I am still working on getting them up in the air consistently, I still get lots of run when I don't. I am very happy with all of my clubs from GigaGolf. The Pursuit ps550 Hybrids have had the biggest impact on my game. GigaGolfs service is great, their clubs are solid and a great value. Thanks GigaGolf. You have made playing golf even more enjoyable. Ordered the Pursuit c455 hybrid 3 and 4 as-well as the Pursuit PowerMax Slot 3W. Great clubs, great value. The build quality is top notch, from paint to performance, I could not ask for anything better than these. Every bit as good as anything from the "hot list" of hybrid/fairway woods but 1/3 - 1/4 the price of even a used variant. Thanks Giga love them. You have a new customer moving forward for all my club purchases. Even showed a few or my co-work golf buddies and they were blown away how nice these are. Next up, new Irons and Wedges!!!

Have had pursuit #6,5,4 & 3 for two years. They are my go to clubs. The only improvement would be if they came in # 1 & 2 hybrid.

I waited almost a year to write this review, because I wanted to be sure. Last Sunday I landed a ball 20 ft from hole on a Par 5 from 220 yards and missed an Eagle put, and I decided I had to tell someone about this. Built to specs a 4 hybrid with a TT Dyn Gold stiff shaft. I hit it with confidence anywhere between 180 and 220 yards, always dead straight, it's spooky, some would say magical, especially when I have a tendency to be very inconsistent with other clubs! I find it hard to find steel shafted hybrids I like elsewhere, this is great. I even use it for low shots underwood (a quarter swing gets me about 90 yards dead flat). Plus it's classically beautiful and simple, no frills, not like the flashy designs of most brands. This is my favorite club ever, I love it, wouldn't trade it for any branded club, and am currently planning to keep it in the bag for many more years.

I have been using Gigagolf clubs for several years now. Since they are so inexpensive, I sometimes buy a full set a year. I really think they are excellent clubs. I gave away my Honma set since my Pursuit and Reva set are just so good. I also have the Gigagolf forged irons, but I do prefer these Hybrids since they are so easy to hit and so forgiving. So I wanted to see what would happen if I bought a full set and gave it to a 1 handicap golfer, my daughter. My daughter is 13 and she hits the 5H with a UST Mamiya Recoil Shaft between 165-175. Her Ping Ladies club would go 150-160. Her Pursuit has 0 to less than 400 rpm side spin. Her Ladies Ping would have 200-700 rpm side spin. So it reduced her fade. She hits it straighter with the Gigagolf. The UST Mamiya Recoil is clearly superior to the stock shaft of Ping. She said the the Gigagolf hybrids are very forgiving to off center hits as well. Her Pings were custom fitted for her. But the eFit of Gigagolf is spot on as well. She replaced all her Pings with Gigagolf clubs now, except for her Scotty Cameron putter and her Cleveland Wedges. From Driver, woods, hybrids and irons are now Gigagolf. She is hitting straighter and can attack the green from further away. I hope the ladies she competes with do not find out about Gigagolf.

bought the 3 through 6 to upgrade the previous hybrids. Had been off for 3 weeks with lower back problems and on the 2nd round after returning and still not using full power hit the 5 hybrid on par 3, 17th at my club (154 yds w/cross wind) and got my second hole in one! Apart from this moment, all the hybrids are so easy to use and do indeed not require massive club head speed. I am getting about an extra 5yds distance but more importantly am able to generate good soft landings particularly with the 5 & 6. great confidence clubs and I believe that I will be able to work the ball both left and right with further practice.. Good value as ever..

These are good hybrids that hits anaverage of 10-15 yards longer than my ping G10 hybrids. The only issue is the Grove behind the pad in the sole that catches the grass of the fairway when it's wet and it can slow it down a little.

Purchased the 4H with Proforce V2 extra stiff shaft. I liked the pursuit version specifically due to its construction with C455 steel. Got a few swings on it out on the range over the weekend. Real easy to get the ball into the air and land softly. Not sure quite on distance yet compared to old 4H. I will get to gauge that better with more play on the course. So far, really like this club. Thanks GigaGolf.

I purchased the 3 and 4 hybrids. I absolutely love the 4h. It is long and consistent even on mishits. For some reason I have not had the same success with the 3h. The 3h seems to have a small sweet spot and I just can't seem to get consistent distances with it. Regardless, I bought both clubs for less than what a normally priced hybrid costs with no customization features, so I'm pretty happy. The 4h will ride with me permanently. My only general complaint about both clubs is that the black paint seems to easily chip off. Other than that, the fit and finish are exceptional and the clubs are an unbeatable value. Customer service is also exceptional.

I was playing Wilson Staff hybrids (3 & 4), but I didn't have a lot of confidence with them. I tried the pursuit 5 hybrid, thinking it wasn't much of a risk for the price. After 1 range sessions and round of golf, I immediately ordered the 4...Nice big face, great set-up, understated sound...the 5 is a killer out of the thick rough. The 4 is super straight...about 190 from the fairway with a mid-flight. I have never tried better hybrids than these at any price. Just buy them...(+ head covers)

I haven't played golf consistently for 6-7 years and was decidedly mediocre when I did play a lot. My clubs were stolen a few years back, and I had not bothered to replace them. Then, last year, the itch to play struck. I picked up a set of used irons locally, but needed something to tee off with (3 wood), a hybrid, and a putter. I spent a lot of time on Gigagolfs website when my clubs were stolen, so figured it was time to finally try them. I initially ordered the 3 hybrid (pursuit with reg flex standard shaft and standard grips), a 3 wood (pursuit reg flex graffaloy blue), and a putter. I took them all to the driving range with my set of used irons. Although I spent most of that trip working with the irons (which i struggled with mightily), I did hit the 3 hybrid and the 3 wood. I was not blown away by either. They were pretty, well made, quality clubs - but not magical. I thought, they will work. Then I put them all in a closet and didn't touch them again for a a year. This summer, I got asked to play a round with a work group. I was nervous because the one range trip I had the prior summer didn't seem like enough work with a new set of clubs (irons or woods), but agreed. I made one trip to the range before the round and had the exact same results as last time, struggled with the irons, and the hybrid and woods were fine, not remarkable. For the round, I showed up 10 minutes before tee time so could not warm up. at the 1st tee, jitters had me leave the 3 wood in the bag and reach for the 3 hybrid as a safe play. Gripped and ripped a beautiful 200ish shot right down the middle of the fairway, and smiled. I have since played 4 times and the results are remarkably consistent. I know I can hit the 3H 200 yards from anywhere on the course and it will go where I point. I would tell you it's my favorite club, but the 3 wood is probably better. I tee off with it and consistently hit straight 250 yard drives. As for the putter I ordered, I am completely indifferent towards it. It is a quality club and is well built, just can't get a great feel for it (surely not enough practice). I will probably order a different one from Gigagolf at some point in the future. Oh, I have finally rectified my used iron mistake - I am anxiously awaiting a set of GX922s.

Ordered the the 3 and 4 hybrids along with the TRX single length irons. The ball pops off the face and very forgiving on mis-hits. Solid option off the tee when thereâ??s a tight fairway or only needing 200-225 yards.

I purchased the 5 and 6 pursuit hybrids with the Proforce V2 hybrid stiff shafts. I took them to the range and I am thrilled with the performance. The ball rockets off the face and they don't balloon, like an iron sometimes does. I also took these hybrids today(6/21/2015) to Las Vegas National Golf Club. One of the par 3's plays about 180. I hit my 5 hybrid and it was true to form, a slight draw, landed just short of the middle, on very firm greens and ended up pin high toward the back pin position. Both 5 and 6 hybrids are true to form, for me--I normally hit my 6 iron blade about 160 to 165 but this 6 hybrid is far easier to hit to the 165 range, same with the 5 hybrid that goes about 175 to 180. I will definitely be purchasing the 3 and 4 hybrids in the next week or two, to replace my 3 and 4 iron blades. I know that I can shave a couple more strokes off my scores and maybe bring my 3.2 handicap down a bit.

Gigagolf came through again. Got a 4 hybrid off of your pre-owned section to replace my aging Baffler. Ball flies straight and it gives me a consistent 200-210 yards. I am beginning to wonder why I still buy clubs from the major manufacturers when I get almost the same quality for a fraction of the price here. I know this sounds like some "schill hype job", but unless you are single digit handicapper, GigaGolf is the best way to go for your clubs. Most of us mid to high handicappers cannot recognize or capitalize on the incremental difference there may be between GigaGolf and say a TaylorMade golf club. It's not worth the price differential. You may not agree but it is just my 2 cents worth.

The 3 & 4H Pursuit ps550 Hybrid that I ordered, have been nothing short of game changing for me. I turn 74 in July and hit my 3h 210 YARDS and straight as an arrow!! The 4h 185yds easy. The slot back irons only add to my enjoyment of my game. Price, service and product are top notch and I only wish I'd known about GigaGolf sooner. Great Job helping me, at my age, improve my game.

I waited.....I shouldn't have.... Now I know...... I hit it twice all of last year out of deep rough. I couldn't get past it not being an iron. This year I decided to hit it (4hybrid) instead of my 4 iron. All I can say is I shouldn't have waited. Easiest club to hit in my bag and straight as can be 190-200 yards every time. Best golf purchase I've ever made.

I've played about 6 rounds with my new Pursuit c455 4hybrid, and it is officially my favorite club. Great distance, and easy to control. I pulled my 3 wood and 3 iron out of the bag because I don't need them any more. Awesome 200-210 yard club every time.

Okay-here we go. I have in the past purchased outside the mainstream golf clubs and sometimes I feel it was worth it. This unnamed place in California was a disaster, the web site not updated and causing undue frustration. Tough place to deal with. Another place, yes also in California-was decent. I ordered a 7 Wood and it arrived and sometimes I take it out and use it. Most times it sits in the closet for no reason. I do buy grips from them from time to time. They're okay. Then I ran into Giga golf. At first I was going to order several irons, the MB series, and a hybrid. I need more irons like a hole in the head, my wife commented-so to keep the peace, I ordered a new hybrid, which I designed myself. I picked the shaft, and adjustments were free. It arrived about a week later (I ordered it on a Friday late in the afternoon.) It well packed, clean and unused. I quickly put away the old, paint chipped Callaway and took it on my local course the next day. Like anything new, like a wife, or a car, or a dog it takes time to get use to it. (I won't go into wife #2...nor the Toyota truck or the dog - I miss that dog, not so much wife #2. LOL. Three practice sessions, two rounds of nine hole golf and let me say this 3 hybrid rules. I am very happy indeed. If you are reading this, and anticipating making a purchase, do so without fear. Let me add, I am retired, and do not work for Giga or anyone...well, maybe for wife #3. Golf well my friends.

This is an update. I bought the 3 and 4 hybrid to go with the 5 and 6. Let me tell you, it is way easier to make golf shots with these clubs. I just wish Giga Golf would also make a pitching wedge through 7 hybrid. These clubs are a brilliant advance in golf technology. These clubs are very stable/solid. Yesterday, 3/27/2016, I had the chance to use my 3 and 4 hybrids, a little more than usual and made some great shots. On hole 17 for example, which plays about 200 yards to the middle but on this day it was tucked back left about 210. I played my ball, with the 3 hybrid just slightly left of center with a tiny draw and ended up about 25 feet to the right of the pin. I am confident that if I had played it at the pin, it could have very well ended up stiff to the pin. I just love the penetrating medium height trajectory!! The other great thing is when the ball hits the green, it stops almost immediately!! The 3 hybrid for example only rolled out about 8 feet!! The 5 and 6 hybrids even get some backspin or stop dead!! Once you figure out your distances with these clubs, it's like throwing darts!! Please Giga Golf, manufacture the 7 through pitching wedge, I would buy them immediately!!

I ordered pursuit hybrids 3 to 5 to replace old superfast Taylormade hybrids. Gigagolf hybrids are fantastic, they look professional, they are super easy to hit, and I gained at least 10 yards as compared with my old ones. I am very satisfied considering that I paid only a fraction of equivalent brand equipment.
